Ingredients You'll Need

  • 2 cans apple pie filling - any type of pie filling works well as long as it's sweetened
  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing - original size Pillsbury cinnamon rolls work great
  • ½ cup chopped pecans - chop finely, or use a rough chop if you like a chunky texture

Step by Step Instructions

  • Take the cinnamon roll dough out of the tube. Slice each roll into 4 pieces with a sharp knife and set aside the cups of icing for later.

  • Spray the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and spread out pieces evenly.

  • Pour both cans of apple filling on top of cinnamon roll pieces. Use a spoon to coat all of the pieces.

  • Sprinkle pecans on top and slightly stir into the apple mixture. (If pecans are left dry they may get too crunchy.)

  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes.

  • Microwave the icing for 5 seconds so it will be easy to pour, or allow it to reach room temperature. Drizzle icing over rolls and serve warm.
