Equipment
baking dish
(13 x 9 inches)
mixing spoon
Ingredients
2
cans
refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
(12.4 ounce Pillsbury brand)
2
cans
apple pie filling
(21 ounces each)
½
cup
chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Take the cinnamon rolls out of the tube. Slice each roll into 4 pieces. Set aside the icing until later.
Spray the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch baking dish or pan.
Spread out cinnamon roll pieces evenly in the pan.
Pour both cans of apple pie filling on top of cinnamon roll pieces. Use a spoon to coat all of the pieces.
Sprinkle pecans on top and slightly stir into the apple pie filling. (If they are left dry they may get too crunchy.)
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes.
Microwave the icing for 5 seconds so it will be easy to pour.
Drizzle icing all over cinnamon rolls and serve warm.
Notes
Slice the apples and rolls into smaller bite size pieces if desired.
Be sure to grease the bottom of the dish before adding ingredients.
For best results, let the buns cool at least 10 minutes before adding icing.
