Ingredients and Variations
Here's what you'll need to make this easy recipe. Quantities are listed in the recipe card below.
- Slider Rolls - I use Hawaiian sweet rolls, but you can use dinner rolls or any type of slider buns
- Leftover Turkey - substitute deli turkey or leftover ham if desired
- Cranberry Sauce - whole berry cranberry sauce or homemade sauce both work in this recipe. The jellied sauce will work if you spread it in a thin layer.
- Provolone Cheese - sub swiss cheese, cheddar, havarti cheese, or white American
- Melted Butter - use salted butter for the best flavor
- Dijon Mustard - can sub yellow mustard if desired
- Brown Sugar - granulated sugar works also
- Poppy Seeds - you can use sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on the top of the buns if you don't have poppy seeds

How to Make Cranberry Turkey Sliders
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice the sheet of slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the individual buns connected if possible. Place the bottom half of the slider buns in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish that has been prepped with cooking spray. Add the turkey evenly over the bottom half of the slider buns.

STEP 2: Layer the provolone cheese slices on top of the turkey.

STEP 3: Spread a layer of tart cranberry sauce over the cheese.

STEP 4: Place the top half of the rolls over the cranberry sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and poppy seeds. Brush the butter mixture over the entire slab of rolls, making sure to coat each one.

STEP 5: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.

Customize It!
- You can add leftover mashed potatoes and stuffing if desired.
- Homemade cranberry sauce works great, but you can also use canned cranberry sauce if that’s what you have available.
- For a fun presentation, skewer each slider with a festive toothpick or a small skewer that includes a cranberry or a small pickle.

Recipe FAQs
Yes, you can assemble the sliders up to a day in advance and store them covered in the refrigerator. When you're ready to serve, bake them as directed, possibly adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time if they're cold from the fridge.
Provolone cheese can be substituted with other melting cheeses such as Swiss, cheddar, mozzarella, or gouda.

Storing Leftovers
STORING: If you have leftover sliders, they can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
REHEATING: Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
FREEZING: I don't recommend freezing this recipe unless you freeze the components separately.

I've made these before but I've never added cheese. Your recipe looks so good. I plan to add cheese to mine after Thanksgiving.
