Mini Strawberry Shortcakes are so yummy and cute, you'll want to serve them at every event. They're a tiny dessert, but they pack a big punch.
These adorable strawberry parfaits are also made with homemade whipped cream. Can it get any better?
There's just something fun about having your own little dessert to hold. It makes Mini Strawberry Shortcakes so special. Your guests will love how adorable they are, and be thrilled when they take their first bite.
How to Make This Dessert
You'll also need a small pound cake from your local grocery store, a container of strawberries, some sugar, vanilla, and homemade whipped cream (which I'll describe how to make below).
Start by cutting a small pound cake loaf into cubes. Next, it's time to slice the strawberries into small bites.
Place the strawberries into a bowl, then add 2 Tbsp. of sugar and ¼ cup of water. Stir and let sit while you make the whipped cream.
How to Make Whipped Cream
Pour a pint of heavy whipping cream into the bowl of your stand-up mixer (ad) and crank it up! In only one minute, you'll have beautiful peaks of fluffy whipped cream which is so much better than the refrigerated stuff. Add a little powdered sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla for flavor, then mix with a big spoon.
As in all good things, the fun starts when you throw it all together. Layer a few cubes of pound cake in the bottom of each glass, followed by strawberries with syrup, then add whipped cream. Repeat the steps and finish with a sliced strawberry on top.
