Microwave Instructions

The chocolate can also be melted in the microwave if preferred. Use a microwave-safe bowl to melt the chips on medium heat in 30 second intervals, stirring well until completely smooth.

Variations

  • Want it extra chocolatey? Add a layer of melted dark chocolate chips.
  • Customize with other toppings like sprinkles or mini marshmallows.
  • Use candy melts instead of chocolate chips.
  • Substitute any type of generic Oreos, including the thin kind, or another flavor like vanilla or mint. The only type that won't work are Double Stuff Oreos because they may be too tall for the white chocolate to cover them completely.
  • Use hard peppermint candies (like Starlight Mints) instead of candy canes for the peppermint flavor if you can't find candy canes.

What to Serve with Oreo Peppermint Bark

Helpful Tips

  • Scoring the bark before cutting it helps ensure the bark breaks cleanly.
  • If you'd rather melt the chips in the microwave, be sure to do it in 30-second increments.
