Silky smooth white chocolate mixed with heavy cream and peppermint is an indulgent beverage for holiday parties, or just relaxing. It will be your new favorite winter drink!

The Best Holiday Beverage!

Rich and Creamy - heavy cream makes the creamiest hot cocoa.

Perfect After Dinner Drink - rich enough to pass for dessert.

Ready in 10 Minutes - takes only a few minutes to mix, heat and enjoy!

Peppermint white hot chocolate is so much better when you make it from scratch. There’s no instant powder in this recipe. Just simple ingredients that create a smooth cup of cocoa you can sip on whenever the mood strikes.

What’s the best part? It’s ready to serve in just minutes!

Christmas is the best time to enjoy this festive beverage. It goes great with holiday favorites like sour cream sausage balls and white chocolate cranberry scones. If you’re a hot chocolate lover, be sure to try my pumpkin spice hot cocoa recipe too!

What to Serve with Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

Tips for Success

  • Take care not to burn the white chocolate when melting it in a saucepan. To prevent this, you can use a double boiler or a glass bowl over a saucepan filled with hot water. This method allows the heat from the steam of the water to melt the white chocolate without direct contact with the stove.
  • Use whole milk and heavy cream for the thickest cocoa possible.

Variations

  • Try mixing up the extract until you find the perfect match. I like to use vanilla extract when I’m feeling mellow and peppermint when I need a pick-me-up.
  • You can also try melting dark chocolate chips and swirl the syrup into the white chocolate. (This is delish!)
  • For a lighter beverage, omit the heavy cream and go with skim milk or half and half.

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat in a saucepan on the stovetop over medium low heat, or in the microwave in 30 minute intervals until warmed throughout.
