Monkey Bread Apple Cobbler

Ingredients
½
stick butter
4
honey crisp apples
with peelings on
½
tsp.
cinnamon
2
Tbsp.
brown sugar
1
cup
water
1
Tbsp.
cornstarch
1
cup
pecans
chopped
2
cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
vanilla ice cream
optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter in a 12 inch cast iron skillet on medium heat.
Slice apples (with peelings on) and place in skillet.
Sprinkle apples with cinnamon and brown sugar. Stir well.
Fry apples for 15 minutes until soft, stirring frequently.
Mix water and cornstarch together. Pour on top of apples and cook for 1 minute.
Add pecans to skillet.
Slice each cinnamon roll into fourths and place in skillet. Keep one cinnamon roll whole for the middle of cobbler. Reserve the icing for later.
Stir everything in skillet together. Place whole cinnamon roll in the middle.
Bake cobbler at 350 degrees for 25 minutes until rolls are done to the touch.
Let cobbler cool for 15 minutes.
Drizzle with icing and serve warm from the skillet.
Notes
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each serving if desired.
