Crispy Air Fryer Steak Fries are homemade, tender, and incredibly tasty! With simple ingredients, less oil and a short cooking time, they make the perfect side dish or appetizer.
Cut fresh potatoes into wedges using a sharp knife and a cutting board. To make wedges, cut potatoes in half lengthwise, then turn over and cut each half again.
4 medium russet potatoes
Place potatoes in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
2 Tablespoons olive oil
In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, steak seasoning and sea salt together to make a seasoning mix and sprinkle over wedges in bowl. Use tongs to get all areas covered.
1 teaspoon steak seasoning, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon sea salt
Arrange potato wedges in a single layer in the bottom of an air fryer basket.
Cook wedges at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Shake basket every 5 minutes for best results.
Sprinkle potatoes with extra salt and dried parsley if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
1 teaspoon dried parsley
HONEY MUSTARD DIP
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl with a spoon or whisk.
½ cup mayonnaise, ½ Tablespoon stone ground mustard, 1 Tablespoon honey, ⅛ teaspoon Texas Pete dust, ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
Spoon into a serving bowl and place in the middle of wedges.
Notes
Be sure to arrange potatoes in an even layer in the bottom of the basket.
Don't overlap wedges for best results.
All air fryers cook differently. If potatoes aren't done after 15 minutes, cook a few minutes longer.
The size of potato matters. If you use a large potato, you'll need to cut smaller wedges to allow them to cook properly.
Wedges will be crispy when they come out of the fryer. Serve immediately for best results. The longer they sit, the softer they become, but they still taste amazing!
Shaking the air fryer every 5 minutes helps cook the potatoes evenly and makes them crispier.
Don't have an air fryer? Bake these wedges on a sheet pan in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes until crispy.
