Southern Shrimp and Grits
is a classic dish featuring cheesy grits topped with shrimp, bacon and barbecue sauce!
grits, garlic, butter gouda cheese, cream cheese heavy cream, bacon shrimp, barbecue sauce green onions –
Cut bacon into small pieces and fry in a skillet until crispy. Remove bacon and reserve grease.
Saute' shrimp in bacon grease until pink.
Add barbecue sauce, green onions and spices. Toss shrimp until coated.
Spoon shrimp mixture over cheesy gouda grits. Top with cheese, bacon crumbles and green onions.
