EASY RECIPE!

Learn how to make tender smoked chuck roast with a beautiful smoke ring on your wood pellet grill and smoker!

INGREDIENTS

3 pound chuck roast dry rub spices barbecue sauce

PREHEAT SMOKER

Preheat smoker according to manufacturer's instructions. I used a Traeger® Pro 22 grill.

STEP ONE

Remove chuck roast from packaging and let it sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour.

STEP TWO

Generously coat chuck roast with dry spice rub. Work well into the meat with your hands.

STEP THREE

Place roast in a preheated wood pellet smoker. Cook at 225º F. Be sure to insert thermometer.

STEP FOUR

When roast hits 165º, take off grill and wrap in butcher paper. Continue to cook until roast reaches 195º F.

LET ROAST REST

Allow roast to rest covered in a cooler for 1 hour. Remove from paper and slice against the grain.

CHOP OR SLICE

Smoked Chuck Roast tastes great with sides on a BBQ plate, or you can chop it up if desired.

SANDWICHES

To make a BBQ sandwich, just chop up the roast and serve it with slaw, pickles and bbq sauce on a bun!

ENJOY!
