Creamed Corn

EASY RECIPE!

Skillet Creamed Corn is a cream-style recipe that's made in less than 30 minutes in a cast iron skillet with fresh corn!

INGREDIENTS

bacon strips  fresh corn on the cob – real butter– small onion– heavy cream – garlic salt– black pepper

STEP ONE

Cook the bacon in a skillet. Let cool, then chop into small pieces. Leave 1 tablespoon of bacon grease behind in the skillet.

STEP TWO

Shuck 4 cobs of corn and cut the corn off the cob. Put 2 cups of corn into a blender and pulse to break it up.

STEP THREE

In a skillet, melt a little butter with the bacon grease. Saute' onion in butter for 2 minutes. Add all of the corn .

STEP FOUR

Pour heavy cream into skillet and stir for 5 minutes, or until corn starts to thicken. Add garlic salt and pepper.  Add bacon pieces on top.
