Chicken and  Dumplings

QUICK & EASY!

Refrigerated pie crust dough makes these dumplings come together in a flash!

INGREDIENTS

– cream of chicken soup – diced cooked chicken – chicken stock – oregano -- celery -

INGREDIENTS

– garlic powder & pepper -- refrigerated pie crust – diced onion -- half and half cream – cornstarch & water

DUMPLINGS

Roll out refrigerated dough onto a flour surface and cut into 2 x ½ inch strips with a pizza cutter.

BROTH

Bring chicken broth to a boil in a dutch oven. Add cream of chicken soup. Whisk until soup is creamy.

COOK

Add shredded chicken, diced onions, celery, seasoned pepper, garlic powder and dried oregano.

ADD DUMPLINGS

Bring mixture in dutch oven back to a boil. Drop pieces of dough into the boiling mixture one at a time, stirring after adding 5 strips.

SIMMER

Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer, stirring frequently until dough is cooked.

SERVE

Turn off heat and stir in half and half. Ladle into bowls and enjoy. Dinner is  ready in 30 minutes!
