The unspoiled beauty of the Outer Banks in North Carolina will astound you. These photos were taken along the beloved stretch of Hwy 12 in our favorite beach towns of Rodanthe, Avon, and Buxton, NC.
Our family and friends have been vacationing on the OBX for years, and it just keeps getting better and better. Every sunset beckons for a sunrise that’s just as breathtaking. Each visit has helped us create memories we’ll never forget.
During our last visit, a NorEaster decided to pop up unexpectedly. It rocked the coast with waves like we’ve never seen before. Of course, we had to venture out on the Avon Pier to experience it first hand.
The pier was shaking, but I managed to take a video before we had to retreat to dry land. They’re not kidding when they say this is rugged country, which is one of the reasons we love it so much.
If you go, visit Outer Beaches Realty to rent an amazing vacation home. We’ve used them many times and highly recommend their attention to detail. 🙂
Stay safe beautiful friends.
